Outlook2007のひどいところ

　今年度頭から会社のメーラを秀丸メールからOutlook2007に変更した。まあ、なんだがのろーっとしたソフトでいらついている。今日は特に驚きの現象を発見。Outlook2007は、初期状態では添付のテキストファイルをS-JIS(8bit)で送ってしまうのだ。さらに驚いたことに、これは設定の問題でなくバグだったのだ。

This hotfix fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you send a multipart MIME message by using the Japanese version of Outlook 2007, the message includes an 8-bit Shift JIS (SJIS) character without any encoding.

これが設定の問題であると考えて必死に設定を探した＆確認に必要なインターネットメールヘッダの表示方式が非常にわかりにくく探した時間を返して欲しい。
